Is this actually free?

Where is my recording stored?
Recording happens entirely inside your browser using the MediaRecorder API. Your video is never uploaded anywhere — it's saved straight to your device when you download it.
Which browsers are supported?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop. Screen capture is not available on most mobile browsers.
Can I record system audio?
Yes, when sharing a browser tab or your whole screen you can choose to include that tab/system audio alongside or instead of your microphone.
What file format do I get?
Choose WEBM or MP4 in Settings before you record. MP4 export is a Pro/Ultra feature — Free-plan recordings save as WEBM, which plays natively in modern browsers and most video players.
Can I control resolution, frame rate, or a countdown before recording?
Yes — open Settings (the gear icon) to set video quality (up to 1080p on Free, up to 4K on Ultra), frame rate (30/60 FPS), output format, and a countdown timer before recording starts.
Does it reduce background noise?
Yes — your browser's built-in noise suppression, echo cancellation, and auto gain are applied to your microphone by default. Turn it off in Settings if you'd rather record raw audio (e.g. for music).
Can I edit my recording afterward?
Yes, on the Pro and Ultra plans — after you stop recording, click "Edit recording" to trim, split, and delete parts of the clip on a timeline, then export the edited version. All of this happens locally in your browser too.
Can it blur or replace my webcam background?
Yes, on the Ultra plan, using chroma-key cutout — set it in Settings under "Webcam background." This works best with a plain, evenly lit green or blue backdrop behind you, similar to a green-screen setup, rather than automatic AI background removal.
